Merlin

Merlin is one lucky bunny. A lot of rabbits a well as other animals (even chickens!) get dumped at Lafreniere Park in Metairie, LA (near New Orleans). Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue gets calls about them often. However we are usually already at full capacity with a waiting list of rabbits to come in and we don't have the means to catch these rabbits that have become a feral colony and live in underground tunnels.

Merlin, unlike the other rabbits at the park, did not run and hide when approached by a human. Instead he walked towards the human as best as he could in his emaciated and ill condition. Lucky for him, this person was a bunny lover and took him home to nurse him back to health. After months of treatment for worms and lots of good food, Merlin doubled his weight and was able to be neutered and put up for adoption. He is a beautiful rabbit, named Merlin because of his likeness to 'Magic' for which MHRR is named. He is very sweet and loves attention. I'm sure he'll find a home soon. EDIT: Merlin was adopted on 1/16/11. Yay!
